This week was short, but super busy!! We had an awesome week! I loved meeting with each and every one of you to talk about your precious child. Again, I am so blessed with a wonderful group of kids. We had a great week celebrating Trip as our Star Student! Next week, we will celebrate Emmy! PHONICS/SPELLING: We worked on r-controlled words with -ar. Next week will be -or, -ore words. Reading/ELA: We talked about features of poetry, rhyme, and alliteration. We read some Halloween poems and completed some comprehension questions with poetry. WRITING: We are discussing features of non fiction texts, so we can begin writing informational papers this 9 weeks. SOCIAL STUDIES! We learned about James Oglethorpe this week and Georgia's beginning. MATH: We continued our strategies for adding two two-digit numbers. The kids are really loving math and using their strategies! STEM: On Friday, we had an Earth Parent Lesson. Thank you Mrs. Tydings and Mrs. Davidson for teaching us about the Three Sisters Gardens!
